Capturing the heart of Eating House, Rowvile
By Pei Aui – Melbourne newborn, maternity, family and couples photographer
Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Eating House, a charming family restaurant nestled in the vibrant suburb of Rowville. Known for their authentic Italian cuisine and warm, inviting atmosphere, Eating House had entrusted me to bring their story to life through professional branding photography.
Behind the Scenes: The Kitchen
One of the highlights of this shoot was stepping into the heart of the restaurant – the kitchen. It’s a place where the magic happens, and it was bustling with activity. From the pizza station, where perfectly kneaded dough transformed into golden, bubbling pizzas, to the desserts station, where delicate desserts were meticulously crafted, the passion of the staff was palpable.
The main cooking station was equally mesmerizing, with chefs sautéing, flambéing, and plating with precision and care. What struck me most was the camaraderie among the kitchen staff. Their enthusiasm for being in front of the camera made my job incredibly rewarding. Each smile, gesture, and sprinkle of herbs told a story of dedication and love for their craft.
A Peek at the Bar
The bar area was another focal point of the shoot. Against a backdrop of big windows and shelves lined with Italian wines and spirits, the bartenders worked their magic. I captured moments of them shaking cocktails, pouring wine, and engaging with patrons. Their lively energy added a dynamic element to the photos, complementing the warmth emanating from the kitchen.
In addition to the bartenders, the bar also housed skilled baristas crafting aromatic coffees and refreshing shakes. The rhythmic hiss of the coffee machines and the sight of frothy cappuccinos being artfully topped with latte art added another layer of charm to the space. Capturing these moments was a delight, as it showcased the bar's versatility and the team's attention to detail.
The Restaurant's Centerpiece: A New Dessert Counter
One of Eating House’s newest features is their stunning dessert counter, proudly displayed in the center of the restaurant. This elegant addition serves as both a visual and culinary centerpiece. The counter, adorned with an array of colorful and mouthwatering desserts, immediately draws the eye and sparks curiosity. Photographing this feature was a delight. I focused on highlighting the intricate details of the desserts while also capturing the surrounding ambiance of the restaurant. The interplay of light, texture, and color brought these images to life, reflecting the warm and welcoming spirit of Eating House.
What truly made this project memorable was the people. The team at Eating House was incredibly welcoming and collaborative. Their genuine love for what they do shone through, making each shot feel authentic and vibrant. It’s always a joy to work with clients who are as passionate about their craft as I am about mine.
Branding photography is about more than just taking pictures; it’s about telling a story. For Eating House, it was a story of tradition, family, and passion for food. Each photograph is a window into their world, inviting patrons to savor not just their dishes but the love and effort behind every bite. If you’re in Melbourne and craving a slice of Italy, I highly recommend stopping by Eating House. And if you’re a business looking to tell your story through professional photography, let’s connect! Capturing your vision is what I do best.
